Strafford, MO — Roof Replacement & Redeck
About this roof
This Strafford, Missouri home needed a full roof replacement, and the job included a complete redeck — tearing off the old shingles, replacing damaged decking, and starting from a solid, dry surface. Our crew installed Owens Corning Duration® FLEX shingles in Teak, a color chosen to complement the home’s exterior while delivering the impact and weather resistance the FLEX line is known for.
This was a complex, multi-facet roof — lots of angles, valleys, and transitions that demand careful flashing and precise alignment. Watch the drone footage above to see the finished result from every angle.
Every Midwest Roofing project ends with a detailed cleanup and a magnetic nail sweep, so the only thing left behind is a roof built to last.

Why Duration FLEX shingles on this Strafford roof?
Strafford sits along I-44 just east of Springfield, where spring hail and strong storm winds are part of life. Owens Corning TruDefinition Duration FLEX is an SBS polymer-modified shingle with a UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating, the highest that test gives, and it’s rated for winds up to 130 mph. Owens Corning’s SureNail strip adds a reinforced, triple-layer nailing zone that it says holds 42% better against nail pull-through than standard shingles.
FLEX shingles also stay more flexible in cold weather, so they’re less likely to crack when they’re installed or when temperatures swing. On a roof with this many valleys and transitions, that flexibility helps the shingles lie flat and seal well where the angles meet. Because the old decking was replaced, the new shingles went down over a solid, dry surface, which is what lets a manufacturer system perform the way it’s rated.
